Bookings for individual seats are confirmed immediately, whereas bookings for spaces require approval; users must wait for a confirmation email from library staff.
Access to the library for non‑institutional users is subject to prior booking of a seat/service by sending an email to:

- The seat number is assigned by the system, but upon arrival it can be changed without notifying the front desk.
- Individual seats can be booked in advance (up to one week) or at the last minute.
- Spaces for collaborative study must be booked as indicated above.
- The booking must correspond to the actual time the service is used.
- To maximize availability of seats, users are required to cancel bookings in advance if they will not attend and to inform staff of any delays over 30 minutes or early departures.
- The reservation is maintained for 30 minutes after the scheduled start time; after this period, if the booked student is absent, the booking will be cancelled so the seat is available again.
