In the attachment entry screen in Iris, if the publisher of the magazine in which your work is published is listed in the database, you will find a preview of Open Policy Finder in the box that opens to the right.
The box lists the versions of the Article that can be deposited in Open access and specifies where, with what pre-requirements, and under what conditions.
To be able to deposit in Iris, under “may be filed in” must be indicated institutional Repository or non Commercial Repository or any Website.
The license for use, distribution and reproduction which the publisher requests to be associated with the publication is also generally indicated.
The publisher may impose conditions by, for example, requiring a statement in the file containing information about copyright or other particular terms of use (in Open Policy Finder you can find such a sentence: «Must be accompanied by set statement (see policy)»). The text of this statement is generally indicated in policies accessible from the links at the bottom of the box (see Self-Archiving Policy, Sharing Policy, or other formulas).
For more extensive information on the policies applied by the publisher for the particular magazine, it is useful to go to the Open Policy Finder website.
CAUTION: Open Policy Finder's content is intended to support the academic authoritarian community and therefore has no legal value. Therefore, what is stipulated in the contract concluded between authors/authors and publishers remains decisive. This is especially true for contributions published in journals not listed in Open Policy Finder and for those not published in journals for which reference should be made to the contract (in these cases, it may also be useful to check whether the publisher reports the open access policy on its site.)
